Your use of the VEX Gift Card comes with some Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) which are shown below.
The VEX Gift Card is a multi-choice Gift Card available in a variety of formats including digital and paper-board physical versions. The value held on each VEX Gift Card is exchangeable for Retail Gift Cards and/or digital eGifts of the same value. VEX Gift Cards Personalisation: Terms and Conditions

  • In brief: We’re happy for company logos, brand names and other registered trademarks or devices to be used in your personalisation, so long as you have full rights and authority to use such brands and logos. If you don’t, or you’re not sure, please don’t use them.
  • We review all orders – if you think the image or words you use could cause offence or upset to others then don’t use them. We’re not super-prudes but there are some absolute no-go areas which are listed below.
  • Not for resale. Being able to personalise your VEX Gift Card makes for a great personal gift but we can’t allow use for intended resale purposes.

The terms and conditions set out below apply to the use of the VEX Gift Card personalised service and incorporate the general terms and conditions of purchase of products and services located below. By accessing and browsing this site and/or placing an order you also agree to be bound by the website terms and conditions set out below and to accept both sets of T&Cs without any limitation or qualification. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use or access this site and/or place an order.

Voucher Express (issuer of the VEX Gift Cards; see below) and VEX Gift Cards reserves the right to make changes to this site and to these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. You should review these terms and conditions each time you access this website.

Using the personalised VEX Gift Card site – things you must remember:

  1. We want everyone to enjoy using the VEX Gift Card personalised service but there are certain rules and restrictions governing its use.
    You must have permission to use the images (photographs) that you upload to the service and render Voucher Express, VEX Gift Cards and its owner, Hemingways Marketing Services Ltd, harmless in the event that a copyrighted image is used. You must ensure that you either own the copyright to, or are fully licensed to use, images uploaded to this service.
  2. You must have the right to use any personal data that you wish to include about another person, such as their name, image or email.
  3. You will not upload an offensive, profane or pornographic image to this service.
  4. Your personalised message or image must not be offensive, profane or be intended to threaten, cause offence, annoyance, embarrassment or distress to any person.
  5. We reserve the right to reject orders that in our absolute discretion are offensive, indecent, pornographic, promote discrimination based on race, sex, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, civil status, family status, religion, age, whether they are a member of the Traveller community or that in our opinion might incite hatred or violence.
  6. User uploaded content will not give the impression that it is endorsed by or otherwise eminates from Voucher Express or VEX Gift Cards.
  7. Please be aware that all orders are reviewed by a member of our team.
  8. All orders are subject to acceptance.
  9. A personalised gift card cannot be returned.

General Terms and Conditions of purchase of products and services

  1. Sales of VEX Gift Cards are generated, managed and fulfilled by Voucher Express – a trading name of Hemingways Marketing Services (Ireland) Ltd, Unit 418, The Capel Building, Mary’s Abbey, Dublin 7 D07 E379, Ireland. Company number: 775125. VAT number: IE 04351555UH. Voucher Express is the Seller of each VEX Gift Card.
  2. Expiry Dates: Once activated VEX Gift Cards are valid for a period of 5 (five) years. After this period has elapsed any remaining balance will be deducted.
  3. € EURO eGifts are redeemable against a wide range of digital and physical gift cards displayed on the redemption website: redeem.vexgiftcards.com
  4. VEX Gift Cards may not be exchanged for cash.
  5. Customers have the right of withdrawal or cancellation of an order solely in relation to any unused and not personalised VEX Gift Card or eGift, which can be returned within fourteen (14) days after receipt of the Gift Card or eGift. For any unused and not personalized VEX Gift Card or eGift you can terminate the order by sending an email to our customer service [email protected]. You will need to confirm the original order number so we can verify order information and balance of the VEX Gift Card. Following this, if the full balance remains; a refund will be made within fourteen (14) days after we have received your notice of withdrawal. Any redeemed or partially redeemed VEX Gift Cards or eGifts cannot be returned for a refund.
  6. The minimum amount of value on each VEX Gift Card is € 0.01 (one eurocent) and the maximum if €1000.00 (one thousand euro).
  7. The balance on your VEX Gift Card can be checked at any time by visiting redeem.vexgiftcards.com. Alternatively, if you choose to store your VEX Gift Card in either an Apple or Google wallet, you can benefit from instant balance checks whenever you view your card.
  8. Once redeemed/exchanged online for Retail Gift Cards, the selected Retail Gift Cards are delivered to your nominated delivery address (either a physical postal address) or a digital address (email or mobile telephone number).
  9. In the case of physical deliveries, Voucher Express uses An Post to deliver Gift Cards. Depending on the value selected, a specific level of services from An Post will be used. In the case of the Express Post service, a signature will be required upon delivery. Delivery is usually made within 2-3 working days following redemption, although the delivery period may be extended in certain circumstances (including temporary unavailability of stock; additional control checks prior to despatch).
  10. In the case of digital delivery, delivery is made via email or SMS. It is your responsibility to provide accurate and current delivery information. Delivery is usually made within the first hour following redemption although the delivery period may be extended in certain circumstances (including temporary unavailability of stock; additional control checks prior to despatch).
  11. Voucher Express cannot be held liable for any loss incurred, either directly or indirectly, by failure to meet the delivery date and time indicated at the time the order was placed. ‘Loss’ in this instance includes loss of profit, costs, damages, charges or other expenses. Any exoneration of our liability only holds for the extent permitted by local law; Voucher Express does not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so.
  12. Risk will pass to the customer upon delivery and title will pass upon receipt of payments in full. Voucher Express cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged Gift Cards following delivery to the recipient. Gift Cards will not be replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or damaged.
  13. VEX Gift Cards and its issuer Voucher Express cannot be held liable for VEX Gift Cards, once activated, which are subsequently lost, stolen, damaged or defaced (rendered unusable).
  14. The funds on a VEX Gift Card represent a claim on the Issuer. In the unlikely event of the Issuer of this product becoming insolvent any remaining funds on the VEX Gift Card may not be available to spend.
  15. However, whilst every effort is made to ensure that Retail Gift Cards offered for exchange with the VEX Gift Cards are issued from current, established and viable retailers, Voucher Express cannot be held responsible for Retailers who are placed into administration and/or cease to trade and the impact of this on either (1) the subsequent non-availability of the affected Retailer Gift Cards in the range for exchange and; (2) any Retail Gift Cards that have been previously exchanged using a VEX Gift Card but which are subsequently rendered invalid due to the cessation of trading by the Retailer.
  16. Each of the Retailer Gift Cards available for exchange with a VEX Gift Card carries its own Terms & Conditions. These individual T&Cs are set by each retailer and are different for each product. The T&Cs governing each product are displayed on each Gift Card or eGift Card delivered and may contain links for more detailed T&Cs published on the retailer’s website. Please read and consider these T&Cs carefully, taking particular note of the expiry date of your Gift Card or eGift Card. Expiry dates are 5 years or longer from issuance.
  17. VEX Gift Card and its Issuer Voucher Express reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time where it reasonably considers it necessary to do so. Reasonable notice of such changes will be given where possible.
  18. Data Protection: Under data protection legislation, we are required to provide you with certain information including who we are, how we process your personal data and for what purposes and your rights in relation to your personal data and how to exercise them. This information is provided at https://vexgiftcards.com/VexGiftCard/ByEmail/VexGiftCard/PrivacyPolicy and it is important that you read that information.
  19. By activating and/or redeeming a VEX Gift Card you accept and agree to these terms and conditions. Irish law is applicable to these terms and conditions. Disputes arising from your use of this website and the services we provide are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
  20. Force Majeure: Voucher Express cannot be held responsible for failure to meet its service obligations when any failure is brought about due to some cause beyond its reasonable control. Examples of this might include: acts of God, trade disputes; governmental intervention, fire, flood, and disruption to computer and IT infrastructure.
  21. Breach of these conditions will entitle Voucher Express to seek the appropriate legal remedy available for injunction, damages or otherwise.
